GM Markets vs Ondo Finance

Tokenized US Treasuries and yield-bearing dollar instruments for crypto holders.

Last updated 2026-06-20

What Ondo Finance does well

Ondo is the reference brand in tokenized US Treasuries and money-market exposure (OUSG, USDY, etc.). They give DeFi-native users a clean path to short-duration Treasury yield without leaving on-chain rails, and their products are widely composable.

Where GM Markets differs

Different asset class. Ondo focuses on tokenized Treasuries and yield products; GM Markets focuses on tokenized equities and ETFs. The two are complementary — hold Ondo for cash-equivalent yield, hold GM Markets tokens for equity exposure. We don't compete; we sit next to each other in a tokenized-portfolio stack.

Questions people ask about GM Markets vs Ondo Finance

Should I use Ondo or GM Markets?

Both, if your portfolio includes a cash allocation and an equity allocation. Use Ondo for short-duration Treasury yield (cash sleeve); use GM Markets for tokenized equity exposure (growth sleeve). They are not substitutes.

Can I move USDY from Ondo into GM Markets?

You can hold USDY or other Ondo tokens in your embedded wallet. Funding a GM Markets trade currently uses USDC / USDT / USDF (unified stablecoin balance) — swap into one of those via your preferred DEX or aggregator first.

Why not just hold OUSG and ignore equities?

OUSG gives you ~5% nominal yield; tokenized equities give you exposure to S&P 500 ~10% average annual return over decades plus dividend reinvestment. Choose based on risk tolerance and horizon, not as substitutes.
